Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Bohemian Moldanubicum, metamorphic units. Arficial outcrops exposing serpentinites. Large body of serpentinite with remarkable magnesite content. Serpentinite occurs in association with eclogite. Main rock forming minerals: Pyroxene, garnet and hornblende (plagiolclase is absent). Accessoric adminxtures of olivine and tremolite. Fragments of opaliferous chert were also found. Protected numerous rare flora species.
